In my leisure time, I love spending time outdoors gardening and walking my dogs, Grande Prairie has great walking trails.  I am a  DIY enthusiast. I enjoy taking on various projects, mostly home improvements, and furniture refinishing.

I have four grown children, who are a constant source of pride for me. My family-oriented nature extends to my work, where I strive to create a warm and inclusive environment for both residents, families, and staff.

As the Assistant Manager at Prairie Lake Seniors Community, I am passionate about providing the highest quality of care and support to our residents. My role allows me to combine my love for helping others with my organizational and leadership skills.

I am honored to serve as the Director of Care at Prairie Lake Seniors Community, a place that holds a special place in my heart. My journey here began several years ago when I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). After gaining valuable experience and insights, I left to take on the role of Director of Care at another facility. However, the opportunity to return to this home, where I have so many cherished memories, was one I couldn’t pass up.

Fitness is a significant part of my life, and I believe in maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Whether it’s a morning run or a yoga session, staying fit helps me stay energized and focused.

I also love spending time with my dog, Frankie. Our walks and playtime are some of my favorite moments, providing a perfect balance to my professional responsibilities.

My network of friends and loved ones is incredibly important to me. Their support and companionship enrich my life, and I value every moment spent with them.

With over 20 years of experience in the food services industry, I am proud to serve as the Food Services Supervisor here at Prairie Lake. My career began more than two decades ago, and I have had the privilege of working at another Park Place home before joining this wonderful community.

My passion lies in creating nutritious and delicious meals that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents. I believe that good food is essential to overall well-being, and I am dedicated to ensuring that every meal we serve is of the highest quality.

 Hello! My name is Adris, and I am the Nursing Team Leader at Prairie Lake. My journey here began in 2012 when I started as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our memory care cottage. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow and learn so much from our residents and my colleagues.

Before stepping into my current role, I temporarily filled in as an MDS Coordinator, which gave me valuable insights into the administrative and clinical aspects of our care processes. This experience was instrumental in preparing me for my current position as the Nursing Team Leader, where I now oversee our dedicated nursing staff and ensure we provide the highest quality of care to our residents.

When I’m not at work, I love to immerse myself in a good book or challenge my mind with puzzles. Spending time outdoors with my kids and our dog is another favorite pastime – there’s nothing like a fun day outside to recharge and create wonderful memories.

 Hello! My name is Melissa, and I am a Nurse Educator at Prairie Lake. My journey here began as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where I had the privilege of caring for our amazing residents. Over the years, my passion for teaching and sharing knowledge grew, leading me to transition into my current role as an educator.

In my position, I focus on providing ongoing education and support to our staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver the best possible care. I also enjoy creating engaging and informative training programs that help our team stay updated with the latest in healthcare practices.

Outside of work, I have a few hobbies that keep me busy and bring me joy. I absolutely love camping and spending time in nature – there’s nothing quite like the peace and beauty of the great outdoors. I also have a knack for organizing and decorating, which I find incredibly satisfying and therapeutic. Whether it’s planning a camping trip or redecorating a space, I always bring my creativity and enthusiasm to the task.

 Hello! My name is Raquelle Quinn and I am the Recreation Coordinator at Prairie Lake Seniors Community. My journey here began as a screener, where I had the pleasure of greeting and ensuring the safety of our residents and visitors. This role allowed me to connect with everyone and understand the unique needs and interests of our community.

In time, I transitioned into the recreation department, where I discovered my passion for creating engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. This experience was incredibly rewarding and solidified my desire to make a positive impact on their daily lives.

In April of this year, I was thrilled to step into the role of Recreation Coordinator. In this position, I have the opportunity to design and implement a variety of programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. From organizing group exercises and social events to planning outings and creative workshops, I strive to offer activities that cater to the diverse interests of our residents.

Outside of work, I find joy in spending time in nature. Whether it’s walking through a serene park or practicing yoga outdoors, these activities help me stay grounded and energized. I believe that my love for nature and wellness greatly influences the programs I develop, as I aim to bring a sense of tranquility and vitality to our residents’ lives.
